JEFF PETERSON

Slack key guitarist JEFF PETERSON, grew up on Haleakala Ranch on Maui. Peterson’s fluency in a variety of guitar styles, including jazz and classical, has distinguished him as a prominent, contemporary slack key guitar artist. His music was featured on the film ‘The Descendants” and he performed on Hawaii’s first GRAMMY award-winning CD, “Slack Key Guitar Volume 2  (Palm Records).

Jeff has performed with Eric Clapton, James Galway, Michael Feinstein, the Honolulu Symphony, Ledward Kaapana, Dennis Kamakahi, Hawaii Opera Theatre, jazz bassist Rufus Reid, shakuhachi master Riley Lee, and soprano Dana Hanchard. He has toured in Europe, Asia, Australia and the US. He is the recipient of several Na Hoku Hanohano Awards.

Jeff is featured annually in Slack Key Guitar Festivals around the world and can be seen at Michel’s in Waikiki when he isn’t on tour. He currently lives in Honolulu with his wife, Kahealani.
